  • Dr. Kristen Godsey, DVM

Doctor Godsey was born and raised in the Kansas City area. Since she was a little girl, she always knew she wanted to become a veterinarian. When she was in middle school, she started working for Country Hill Animal Clinic as a kennel worker in the back of the clinic. As she entered high school, she started working in the front as a receptionist and veterinary assistant. During her time working for Country Hill Animal clinic, she continued to realize her love for veterinary medicine. She went off to Kansas State University and received her Bachelors degree in Animal Science and Industry. After three years of undergraduate studies, she was accepted into the Kansas State University Veterinary Medicine program and graduated in May, 2014. She is so excited to have returned to the veterinary clinic she grew up working for, now as an associate veterinarian. Dr. Godsey was married in her 4th year of vet school to her husband, Brian. Together they have two dogs, Gracie, a Great Pyranees mix and Bella, an Australian Cattle dog mix. In her spare time, she enjoys playing soccer, reading and running with her dogs.

  • Candy Bowman - Veterinary Assistant

My name is Candy and I have been employed at County Hill Animal Clinic for almost 17 years.  I started out working for Dr. Wingert, then Dr. Francis and now Dr. Vogrin and Dr. Godsey.  Not many people can honestly say that they love their job and enjoy coming to work every day, but I certainly can.  I've been married to my husband, Chad for almost 10 years and we have a 5 year old little girl, Jillian.  We live on 10 acres in the country and are in the process of completely remodeling our entire house.  We have 3 rescue dogs; Rosie the Mastiff, Dolly the Golden Retriever mix and Woody the Terrier mix, along with 3 farm cats.  As a hobby, I assist with local animal shelters and groups by fostering, rescuing, transporting and doing adoptions.  I am also a member of a therapy pet group called Human Animal Bond.  In my spare time, I enjoy fishing, riding atv's and spending time outdoors.
