  • Dr. Kristen Godsey, DVM

Dr. Godsey was born and raised in the Kansas City area. Since she was a little girl, she always knew she wanted to become a veterinarian. When she was in middle school, she started working for Country Hill Animal Clinic as a kennel worker. As she entered high school, she started to work towards the front of the clinic as a receptionist/veterinary assistant. During her time working for Country Hill Animal Clinic, she continued to realize her love for Veterinary Medicine. She attended Kansas State University where she received her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science and Industry. After only three years of undergraduate studies, she was accepted into the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State. She graduated in May 2014 with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She was excited to be able to return to the veterinary clinic she grew up working for as an associate veterinarian. Dr. Godsey was married in her 4th year of vet school to her husband, Brian, who is also a veterinarian. Together they have one dog, Bella (Australian Cattle Dog mix) and a daughter. In her spare time, she enjoys playing soccer, reading and running.

  • Candy Bowman - Veterinary Assistant

My name is Candy and I have been employed at Country Hill Animal Clinic since 1998. Not many people can say they enjoy their job and coming to work every day, but I can! I am married to my high school sweetheart and have two children. We live on 10 acres in the country and currently in the process of remodeling our entire house. I have 2 dogs, 3 farm cats and a horse. As a hobby, I assist with a few animal rescues by fostering and transporting pets. I am the assistant director of a therapy dog group called Human Animal Bond. I enjoy going to flea markets, fishing and spending time outdoors with my family and friends.

  • Alysha Johnson - Veterinary Assistant

My name is Alysha and I joined the Country Hill family in June, 2014. I grew up in the outskirts of Bonner Springs and graduated from there. I went to University of Saint Mary where I worked towards my Bachelors in Science of Nursing (BSN). I realized animals were my true passion and chose to pursue a career doing something I love. I grew up around animals my whole life from cats and dogs to lizards, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, and fish. I currently have one dog, Remington (Remy) who is a border collie/lab mix. Remy is a therapy dog with a group call Human Animal Bond, so in our free time we do visits with schools, hospitals, nursing homes, etc. She brings so much joy and smiles to people who enjoy the company of a dog. I love anything outdoors including riding quads, fishing and going to the lake! Working at Country Hill Animal Clinic and being able to work with great people while working with animals has been quite a blessing.

  • Kiersten Ahrabli - Veterinary Assistant

My name is Kiersten Ahrabli. I moved to Kansas from South Carolina late June of 2018. Although I prefer the beach, I’m glad I found my new family at Country Hill. I adore everything and anything that has to do with animals including exotics. Odis is my little crested gecko at home that has my whole heart! In highschool, I cared for many different kinds of snakes, geckos, turtles and even an alligator. My dream is to go into wildlife conservation in the near future to track different exotic breeds and analyze their reactions to environments. Besides caring for animals, I can be found skateboarding, hanging out with friends or on the lake when I have days off.
